PLANNING YOUR SESSION
The Mood: Don’t worry about perfect sunshine. Cloud cover here often enhances the drama — dark cliffs gain depth, colours pop, and the atmosphere becomes cinematic.
Safety & Comfort: For sessions on the cliffs, I recommend wearing proper shoes, as the terrain can be rocky and uneven. Once we reach the beach, you can comfortably go barefoot and enjoy the sand and water.
There is convenient parking below, and the transition between the cliff and the beach takes only about 5 minutes by car. This flexibility makes Praia do Castelejo suitable for different types of Algarve photoshoots — including maternity, couple sessions, and proposals — while keeping everything safe and comfortable.
Timing: I carefully monitor tides. Some of the most iconic formations and caves are only accessible at low tide — planning this correctly makes a huge difference in the final result.
