Castelejo is the West Coast at its purest — towering black cliffs, wide open shoreline, raw Atlantic energy. One of the most dramatic beaches in Portugal and one of my favourite spots for proposals, couple sessions, family and maternity photography. The landscape adds depth to every frame without trying.

The wide shoreline gives us space and flexibility, with great proposal spots both on the cliffs and on the beach — depending on your preference.

MY APPROACH

I guide when needed, but mostly I let the place lead. The wind, the waves, the light — they do most of the work. My job is to stay ready and capture what's already there between you.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Wind: Castelejo is fully exposed to the Atlantic. Wind is part of the experience — but I always check conditions and can adjust timing.

  • Best time: Sunset is exceptional here — the sun drops directly into the ocean. Early morning works well for a quieter, cooler feel.

  • Access: Easy parking and a short walk to the beach. No difficult terrain.

  • Location: West Coast of Sagres, about 10 minutes from the village.
