LET ME BRING YOU INTO MY WORLD

I’ve always been drawn to people and the ocean — both are unpredictable, honest, and full of emotion. Maybe that’s why photography felt like such a natural fit for me.

I was born in Turin, Italy, and came to the Algarve for what was meant to be a short surf trip. But Sagres had other plans. The cliffs, the wind, the golden light — everything about this place made me want to stay. So I did.

I picked up a camera almost by accident, helping a friend capture a few surf lessons. From that moment, I was hooked. I started learning, experimenting, and chasing that same feeling every time the light hit just right or someone forgot the camera was even there.

Photography has since become much more than work — it’s the way I connect with people and the world around me.
I love documenting families being themselves, couples sharing quiet moments, surfers chasing waves, and creative souls building something of their own. What matters to me is not perfection, but truth — those fleeting, unscripted seconds that feel alive.

I put my heart into every session, whether it’s on a windy cliff, a calm beach at sunset, or waist-deep in the water. My goal is always the same: to create images that feel timeless, natural, and real.

My name is Giancarlo — a photographer, surfer, and curious traveller based in Sagres, Portugal.
When I’m not shooting, you’ll probably find me somewhere along the coast, waiting for waves, chasing light, or sharing laughs with friends.
